Inspector You Liwu arranges a test chamber simulating internal environment of vehicles on a large patch of land of the Xinjiang Turpan Natural Environment Experimental Research Center in Turpan, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, July 17, 2019. You Liwu, 26, has been an outdoor-exposure test inspector of the Xinjiang Turpan Natural Environment Experimental Research Center since graduation two year ago. His work is to inspect test items and monitor and gather data, who would be exposed to the torrid test land for up to five hours every day. In Turpan, the land surface temperature can exceed 70 degrees Celsius under the scorching sun in summer, which is harsh for lives but can be the best optimal place for outdoor exposure test. Turpan then has become one of the best choices for world's automobile companies, material manufacturing firms and research institutes to conduct high temperature tests on their products. Over 30,000 products and parts are tested here now. (Xinhua/Ding Lei)
