BEIRUT, May 9 (Xinhua) -- The Britain-funded Beirut Police Command and Control Center (CCC) was inaugurated on Thursday by British Ambassador to Lebanon Chris Rampling, the British Embassy said.
As part of the British Policing Support Project for Lebanon, the rehabilitation work of the police center began in May 2018 and finished in March 2019.
According to an embassy statement, the center is equipped with state-of-the-art devices and a newly established analysis and planning room.
"The new CCC will improve the operational performance of the Beirut Police, strengthen its capacity to fight crime and maintain security, and build its partnership with the community," the statement said.
